Caregiving during young adulthood requires emotional, physical, and mental strength. Recharge your energy by intentionally spending time on self-reflection and self-awareness. In this presentation, you’ll learn the power of discovering your caregiving purpose, the value of embracing your unique caregiver identity, and the benefits of creating self-care habits for your lifestyle.


Presenter bio:

Jenn Chan, CSA®, CCC™, is the CEO & Founder of Senior Shower® Project, a gift shop with a mission to celebrate family caregivers of older adults with a party. Inspired by 10+ years of caregiving for her grandma, Jenn dedicates her career to elevate the family caregiver role with fun, love, and positivity. She believes caregiving is a lifestyle and becoming a senior caregiver is a life milestone worth celebrating. As a Certified Senior Advisor and Certified Caregiving Consultant, Jenn works with non-profit organizations that serve LGBTQ+ older adults, dementia caregivers, and young adult caregivers. She leads self-care workshops and facilitates social support groups.

Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) seeks to improve the quality of life for caregivers through education, services, research, and advocacy. Through its National Center on Caregiving, FCA offers information on current social, public policy, and caregiving issues and provides assistance in the development of public and private programs for caregivers. For residents of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, FCA provides direct support services for caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, and other debilitating health conditions that strike adults.

FCA supports and assists caregivers of adults with chronic or disabling health conditions regardless of race, ancestry, national origin, creed, gender, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, income, or age.
