Staff/Teacher Appreciation Week is rapidly approaching! We will celebrate all of our fabulous teachers and staff from Pre-school through eighth grade during the week of May 6-10. The Mother/Son Event will be coming up in no time!

The Mother/Son Event will be held Sunday, April 21st from 2-4 in the Ryan Center! 

The boys and moms will be WOWED and PUMPED by fun activities for everyone via Coach Dave Gray at the school, and we want to nourish that needed energy! 

And the committee wants to feed everyone well!

We’re asking those in the community who own a business that provides yummy things if you’d like to provide your awesomeness to this event for about 50-80 people (About half kids and half adults). 

We do have a small budget to work with and with it hope to provide a main item, a side(snack), drinks and a dessert item to excite all grades!

You could absolutely include promo for your business by providing this as a donation or at cost if budget permits, and we’d be happy to list you as a sponsor in event promo materials. Please feel free to e-mail Co-chair Marta Greca at marta@mediacreativeagency.com to contribute! 

Trophies anyone?!?

Our sports teams are AMAZING! Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer, Track & Field, and Volleyball have all been so successful over the years - so much that our massive trophy case was bursting at the seams (even after cleaning it out 5 years ago). That said, it was necessary to clean and organize it again. While we are very proud of all of the accomplishments of our teams over the years, at this time, we will only be keeping trophies from 2017-2024. All trophies and plaques dated prior to that have been placed in front of the concession stand and will be available for at least one week. If you, or anyone you know, were on one of the trophy winning teams, please feel free to stop by the school to see if there is a trophy you'd like to take home with you. Simply report to the school office and someone will escort you to the Ryan Center lobby. Go Saints!

AVI Foodsystems

AVI is looking for a new supervisor for the cafeteria (5 days/week) for 2024-25 school year. If interested, please contact Sharon Talarico at 724-312-0156 or Kelly Varley at 412-496-1094.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

-     Oversee front- and back-end production including preparation of food for daily lunch

service

-       Follow opening and closing procedures for POS system and handling cash drawers

-        Complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork and supply orders

-        Manage team of part-time AVI staff and parent volunteers

-       Communicate regularly with lunch program constituents – students, school families,

school administration, faculty and staff

-        Comply with all policies and procedures including but not limited to food and physical

safety programs

-        Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. customer issues,

cleanliness, safety or security concerns)

-        Follow all safety requirements at BFSA

-      Hold or obtain Serv-Safe food handler certification

-        Adhere to grooming and appearance standards

-        Perform any other duties as specified by management
