I'm delighted to announce that Seeds of Light has appointed Lynn Watson as its new director, effective September 2018. I will officially hand over my responsibilities to Lynn at the end of September but I shall continue to sit on Seeds of Light's Board of Directors.
We are excited to welcome Lynn to our team. She has an excellent understanding of the needs of our organization, as she has been involved with Seeds of Light since its inception. Lynn also brings a wealth of expertise with her, having spent three years working for a non-profit organization in Cambodia and Laos and over 20 years in program management for large corporations.
Lynn, a highly skilled IT professional, is also eager to set up computer laboratories in Acornhoek to teach computer skills (including effective internet use) to our children. This is just one of the many reasons we are thrilled to have this passionate and bright individual take over the helm.
On a personal note, I'd like to thank all our donors for their incredible support over the last five years. I will miss Acornhoek, the very inspiring work that we've had the privilege of doing and - above all - the people. I am looking forward to a new chapter but will still support the work that we have started and look forward to Seeds of Light moving onto bigger things.
The future is bright!
Love and gratitude
