The WFM is a producers-only, non-profit organization. It was established to provide a venue to sell farm-fresh, seasonal produce, and specialty items to the Waxhaw area. Shopping at our market is a great way to support local agriculture, promote sustainable farming practices, and enjoy fresh and delicious food.

What's all the buzz this month? Our long awaited friends - the Cicadas. Cicadas play important roles in their ecosystems, serving as prey for various animals and contributing to nutrient cycling when they die. While their loud calls might be a bit annoying, they are a fascinating part of the natural world and are often viewed with curiosity and wonder. They are harmless and even a little cute with their big red eyes.

This Saturday is Kaleidoscope in downtown Waxhaw - in the new park. This will be opening day for the park - so get your market shopping done and take a trip downtown to enjoy a beautiful afternoon. What a great way to spend a Saturday - supporting local!
