Manager's Message

May is here, Hopefully we have some nice weather and see some spring flowers blooming. Florida is beautiful all year long but I especially love this time of year. If you want to see some beautiful blooms head on over to Bok Tower Gardens. It is definitely one of the gems of our area.

Work is still progressing here, our electric is ready to go on our vacant lots and new homes should be arriving within the next few months. I am very excited to bring these new homes here into our community. We hope they bring an aesthetic value to the community and also some wonderful new neighbors.

Rich has been out repairing and painting mailboxes, planting more grass seed and starting to clean and paint the benches around the Shuffleboard.

There are some important days in May that we want to honor. First on May 12th is Mother's Day. It's not an easy job being a Mother. So, make sure you recognize any Mom's you know for the hard work they put into daily chores and building our nations future by raising smart, kind little people.

And of course, we also have to take a Moment on Memorial Day to remember all those who have served and given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

In closing, I want to thank those residents who while here over the winter helped Rich and I in different ways. Some may have lent us a tool, some may have done little projects like installing a water spigot at our Shuffleboard, some brought us cookies, fruit and plants to make us feel welcome. Some donated plants to spruce up our Activity Center, gave me a helping hand moving Washers and Dryers. All of these little things have been greatly appreciated. One of our most appreciated helpers is Leroy, He did many little projects for us! Thank you!

Just because our Activities are winding down doesn't mean you can't come have fun with Rachel and Mid Florida Services! See pic below for a friendly game of Bingo. There is free breakfast and lunch each day from 8:30-12 in the Activity Center. Come have some coffee and cereal, oatmeal, Scrambled eggs and a meal for lunch from Metz Catering. This service is for anyone in Polk County over the age of 60. Rachel does card games, Bingo, Puzzles, Crafts, Holiday Parties and more. She recently added a TV so her group can watch their favorite movies or listen to some oldie's music. She is also looking for any volunteers that want to come do crafts with her group!

Bingo will still continue on Monday's and Darts on Tuesday's and Saturday.

If you have any ideas, or want to start up any new activity please come see me so we can start planning.

Each Month I would like to highlight a few Rules and Regulations.

Pets 11.1

In accordance with local government code, all pets must meet code requirements including but not limited to licensing and permit tags, rabies vaccinations, and not running at large. Dog owners are required to demonstrate full control of their dog. Dogs must be on a hand held leash of no greater than six feet long for outdoor exercise.

Please do not let your dog run loose!

Insurance 26.

Home owners are required to obtain and to maintain liability insurance, homeowners insurance and personal property insurance , if necessary, to protect themselves, their homes and the contents thereof, any other household members, and visitors or guests of any nature, against loss or damage of any kind. If you need a recommendation for a company that provides insurance, please see Valerie in the office.

Use and occupancy 24

The residential lot shall be used solely for the purpose of placing a home thereon for the residential use and occupancy of the resident. Without prior written consent of Community Owner, the lot may not be occupied by more than 2 persons per bedroom.

This is a great place with beautiful Ocean Views and great food. We tried the Baja Egg Roles and Firecracker Shrimp tacos and they were delicious.

Meet Sqiggles.. He lives with his owner Sharon. You can usually find him running along with Sharon's Golf Cart or laying in his yard playing with leaves. His human says he is a little rambunctious. But I think we should give him a break since he is just a puppy!
