United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region responds to COVID-19 in our community. We are using your donations immediately to provide critical help daily.
This week . . .

  • We are helping a food pantry restock their shelves and feed another 2,000 families, doubly-impacted by this crisis.

  • We are providing cleaning and disinfectant supplies, no touch thermometers, paper products and first aid supplies 31 child care centers caring for children of essential personnel.

  • On Friday, we delivered a pizza lunch to serve two floors of our frontline healthcare workers at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

  • We delivered breakfast to frontline childcare workers as a thank you for their service to the children of essential personnel.

  • We are providing diapers and essential items for parents in our community.

  • United Way's 2-1-1 Helpline has 10,441 COVID-19 related calls and more are received every hour.

  • We are connecting volunteers with meal delivery opportunities in our community.

  • We invite you to join us at 8:00pm on Friday to SHINE UNITED! Light a candle, shine a light and show your support for everyone on the frontline battling against COVID-19.

and we are continuing to respond to the daily needs of our community as the situation evolves.
