08.24.10 dfwUPLOAD LogoStudent articles and photos are now being accepted for dfwUPLOAD. The deadline for this week's submissions is Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 11:59p.m..

Students age 13 and up can write and post stories -- as well as photos -- about what's happening in their schools, classrooms or communities. Other North Texas students -- like those in your school -- can read, comment and vote for their favorites. At the end of the month, staff from The Dallas Morning News will judge each week's highly rated submissions and award $100 gift cards in each category.

All week long, students of all ages can read and vote for approved submissions starting at noon on Monday, Jan. 10 until Saturday, Jan. 15.

Make this part of your lessons!

Next week's round begins at noon on Sunday, Jan. 16 when students can log in to nie.dallasnews.com and upload pictures and articles. Once approved, submissions will be available to read and rate online beginning at noon on Monday, Jan. 17. The submission deadline for next week is Thursday, Jan. 20.
