For 30 years, Breast Cancer Prevention Partners been the leading science-based policy and advocacy organization working to eliminate our exposure to toxic chemicals and other environmental exposures linked to breast cancer. 1 in 8 women today will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and yet 90% of cases are not linked to genetics. That's why we at BCPP work to eliminate the other known risk factors linked to breast cancer-to save lives and prevent the disease before it starts.

BCPP is excited to be moving our annual Bay area Hike for Prevention to Pacifica at San Pedro Valley Park. The new location has ample parking, gorgeous shade trees and easy access to the trails, that are carefully maintained. The rangers at the park and the whole Pacifica community have been so friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to this year's event and hopefully many more in the future. The 2023-2024 Pacifica Chamber of Commerce map of Pacifica is out. Thank you for contributing to the publication through your membership and/or advertising. Copies were mailed to members and advertisers. Additional copies are available at the Chamber’s Visitor’s Lobby.

The Chamber embraced the City of Pacifica’s program to combine work and vacation into a “workation”!  Many visitors are escaping the heat of the Central Valley for our ocean breeze. The hotels are featured and “Things To Do” to encourage repeat stays to explore our community. 10,000 copies will be distributed for free to the community at key locations in Pacifica and the Central Valley. 

In September, the Chamber will start the campaign for the Visitor Guide and Business Directory.  This publication will be distributed to businesses and residences in Pacifica, additional copies to the hotels and visitor areas.

We welcome all advertisers. If you are a member of the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce, the benefits you receive are discounts on all advertising, a position on our website, free listings in our publications, referral of calls to your business, networking events, ribbon cuttings celebrating your business milestones, contributing to community activities such as the Tree Lighting, etc.

Starting July 24, 2023, California businesses of any size or industry can start applying to receive an income tax credit through the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) program.

The Governor’s Office of Business & Economic Development (GO-Biz) has up to $180 million in tax credits available to award businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow their business in the state.
