Anniversary Sunday Highlights

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday for our Anniversary Sunday, celebrating 66 years of Second Baptist Church! The day was filled with worship, fellowship, and plenty of delicious food—a true reflection of our church family’s love and connection. From the united worship service to the potluck lunch and the kids’ water activities, it was a joyful and meaningful celebration for all ages. We’re grateful to everyone who contributed and made the day so memorable!

Joins Us Sunday

This Sunday, we welcome Rev. Ellen Di Giosia to Second B as our guest preacher. Ellen is the new Director of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) in Texas. The CBF is a national network of churches that was formed about thirty years ago in response to the direction of the Southern Baptist Convention. Like other states, Texas has its own CBF office and staff. CBF continues to be a network that supports missionaries worldwide. Ellen has ties to our congregation, as Second B has been a participating and supportive church for many years. Our former pastors have played significant roles in the CBF, from its early days to the present.

2b Youth to See The Lion King at Moonlight Musicals

Exciting news for 2b Youth! On Saturday, September 14th, our youth group has the opportunity to attend a performance of The Lion King at Moonlight Musicals. Thanks to the generosity of a ministry supporter, tickets are fully covered, making this a special outing for all who can join.

Join Our B & B Book Club

The B & B Book Club is excited to announce the start of a new book study, featuring "A is for Alabaster" by Anna Carter Florence. This insightful book offers 52 reflections on the stories of Scripture, providing a deep and engaging exploration of biblical narratives. Our next meetup is on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 11:00 AM. We warmly invite anyone interested to join our group as we dive into these reflections and share in thoughtful discussions. Please reach out to the front office if you have any questions.
