BIG TICKET by Jim Garrard
Annie as about 35--recently a young person, now a grown woman and mother, but not quite an adult in all respects. She's a modestly successful Toronto real estate agent and probably works as a junior member of a team.
Dave could be a tad older, a bit of a hunk, a brute but a bit soft in the centre. He owns his own towing and mechanics business but doesn't run it perfectly.
Neither is well-educated, but both are hard workers.
PARENT'S NIGHT by George F. Walker
John, heartbroken and humiliated a father, trying not to let his anger and pain consume his son.
Nicole, an over worked educator on the brink, no longer content to dole out platitudes when it comes to her students and how certain she is that their parents are screwing them up.
Rosie, another parent, who exists so far outside John’s upper middle class bubble that she calls into question everything he thought he knew and believed. A mother, hoping that her own mistakes don’t spell the fate of her daughter.
Theatre Kingston has no attachment to the ethnicity of any of these characters. Also if you feel that you are not suitable for any of these characters but wish to come and introduce yourselves to Theatre Kingston for possible future projects please submit anyway.
