Seán O’Harrow Announced as New President and CEO of Bowers Museum 

The Bowers Museum has announced the appointment of Seán O’Harrow, Ph.D. as its new President and CEO. Seán will be stepping into this role following the remarkable tenure of the late Dr. Peter C. Keller, who served as a beloved and visionary leader for over 31 years until his passing last November. Born in Paris and raised in Honolulu, Dr. O’Harrow had most recently been Executive Director of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri. He previously served as the leader of the Honolulu Museum of Art, the University of Iowa Museum of Art, and the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa. Before beginning his museum career, Dr. O’Harrow worked in investment finance and technology in London.

City of Santa Ana Opens Arts & Culture Sponsorship Applications 

The City of Santa Ana’s Community Development Agency is now accepting applications for its arts and culture special event sponsorship program. Eligible applicants may apply for up to $15,000. A total of $200,000 is available to sponsor special events and programs that support the City’s mission and provide a community benefit.

 Saddleback College Music Department Welcomes New Faculty

Brandon Elliott has been named Professor of Music and Choral Director at Saddleback College. He previously served as the Director of Choral and Vocal Activities at Moorpark College. Brandon is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Choral Arts Initiative, based in Orange County.

After serving on the faculty of California State University, Fullerton and California State University, San Bernardino, Geoffery Munger has been brought on as a Composition and Theory Instructor at Saddleback College. Geoffrey has written everything from solo pieces to large, staged dramas, striving to meld the world of popular music with concert music.
