Opportunity: You design it, we build it! In celebration of our 30th Anniversary of elevating the art of metalwork, we are holding a steel sculpture design competition.
Like the sculptures we have fabricated for artists Adam Kuby and Ken Bernstein, we will fabricate your design with the same quality and care. To get an idea of our work, take a look at our website.
Challenge: Design a steel sculpture based on the theme "Elevating 30" within the material and fabrication parameters listed on the CaFÉ site where you will submit your design proposal.
Prize: $1800 and we build your sculpture! The winning design will be fabricated by us and unveiled at our Palooza-style event on September 6, 2024, at our 20,000-square-foot shop in Erie, Colorado.

Fundraiser: The winning sculpture will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for Groundworks Art Lab's Capital Expansion Campaign. Formerly Studio Arts Boulder, a local non-profit, whose mission is to cultivate the artist in each of us by inviting creative collaboration in the study, practice, and advancement of the studio arts. As an arts teaching organization, classes are made accessible to everyone.
