Elizabeth 'Like' Lokon Selected to Fulbright Scholars Program
Since 2008, Lokon has directed Miami's service-learning program Opening Minds through Art (OMA.) OMA puts college students in direct contact with elders living with dementia as they support the elders in art-making. The Fulbright Scholars grant will allow her to bring OMA to Indonesia.
Miami Recognized as Age-Friendly University
Miami University has been accepted into the Age-Friendly University (AFU) global network, comprising more than 70 universities that have endorsed the 10 Age-Friendly University Principles and committed themselves to becoming more age-friendly in their programs and policies.
