Sci-ROI Global successfully conducted the Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) webinar, which is the flagship program of BIRAC, Government of India on 15th July. We are immensely grateful to our eminent speakers, Dr. Manish Diwan and Dr. Anand Bhadalkar who covered the process of the BIG grant, which will provide the right admixture of fuel and support to young startups and entrepreneurial individuals. Previous BIG awardees Dr. Kesavan Markanddan and Dr. Sayantani Pramanik covered key- points for the preparation of a successful grant application. Dr Swapnil Sinha also joined this Webinar as a panelist and all participants' queries were satisfactorily answered by all of them. Total viewership: 110   Attendees: 50+

Volunteer Spotlight

SATVIK Mareedu


Satvik is a postdoctoral fellow at Rutgers University - New Jersey Medical School. His research focuses on cardiovascular disease investigating the upstream regulators of YAP. He did his Bachelors' as a dentist from India and later pursued PhD in Biomedical Sciences with great passion towards research. He attended a few Sci-ROI recruiting events earlier and felt volunteering will improve his scientific network in India before accomplishing his goal to move back as an Academic Scientist contributing to Indian Science.

ARCHAN BANERJEE



Archan is currently working as an associate research scientist at the Applied Physics department at Yale University. His research interests include quantum architecture development, materials platform for next generation quantum circuits and microwave engineering.

Vipul's scientific interests lie in inventing new high-throughput screening methods and employing wholistic approach to discover novel therapeutic interventions for infectious as well as non-infectious diseases. He joined Sci-ROI to share a vision of strengthening science, technology and innovation (STI) ecosystem in India.


''Sci-ROI provides a platform to bring awareness among Indian diaspora STEM professionals about various opportunities in Indian academia and private sectors, and facilitates their transition back.
