Learn Where Legislative Candidates Stand
on Life Before Going to the Polls on Oct. 12
All statewide elected offices will be on the ballot this fall, and as a part of Louisiana Right to Life's educational role, we are dedicated to informing voters on where candidates and incumbents stand on life issues. Louisiana Right to Life is asking all candidates for the House of Representatives and Senate to fill out a legislative questionnaire, and we are publishing responses as we receive them. We encourage you to vote pro-life whenever you to go the polls! The general election is Oct. 12.

We Need Your Help to Pass the Love Life Amendment! Will You Volunteer?
70 percent of Louisianians are pro-life – so it should be easy to pass the Love Life Constitutional Amendment on Nov. 3, 2020! But we must make sure that all our pro-life people are aware and show up to vote. Dedicated volunteers are necessary to make this happen. We need team captains and members to be local resources for the campaign in each parish and community. Let us know if you want to be a part of this grand campaign!

40 Days for Life President Shawn Carney will be the guest speaker at the New Orleans 40 Days for Life Launch Party on Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. Angela Merici Church, and he is sure to inspire us as we prepare for this fall's 40 Days event. Have you marked this event on your calendar yet? It's just two weeks away!
Have you registered yet for next week's Northwest Louisiana Pro-Life Prayer Breakfast? Sponsorships and tickets are still available. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry will be the guest speaker. The breakfast is Aug. 22 at First United Methodist Church in Shreveport. Seats are limited, so get your tickets today!
Parents Be Aware! Over the weekend, Teen Vogue posted a series of images on Snapchat promoting abortions among teens. The magazine also told young girls how to skirt parental consent laws to get an abortion without their parents’ knowledge.
40 Days for Life will be held in New Orleans, Shreveport, and Baton Rouge from Sept. 25 to Nov. 3, and churches and groups can now sign up for prayer vigils. More than 16,000 lives have been saved worldwide since the 40 Days campaign began in 2007.
The summer issue of The Luminary will be hitting mailboxes around Louisiana in a few weeks. Are you a Luminary member? If not, you still have time to join and make sure you receive this tabloid filled with life affirming stories and updates!
The Louisiana Life March dates have been set! Mark your calendars now and come "Love Life" with us at one of five marches: Lake Charles, Shreveport-Bossier, Baton Rouge, West Monroe-Monroe, and Pineville-Alexandria.
