  1. Parents and guardians that pick up their children from the parking lot should not park their cars in front of the rectory garage. The priests and staff cannot get out. Please be respectful of this.
  2. Pack the Gym tonight! Bomber Volleyball! 6th Grade Girls 5:00 PM, 8th Grade Girls 5:45 PM, and Boys 6:30 PM. Go Bombers!
  3. All of our parents are asked to take a survey about our school through the Archdiocese. The staff and teachers, along with the students in 4th-8th grade also take this survey. Please take just a few minutes to complete the survey. The Archdiocese uses this data to help us improve our school.   4. St. Francis Borgia School will be serving an Italian Lenten meal, tomorrow, Friday, March 22nd from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Stokes Center. The Easter Bunny will be visiting us and will have a little treat to hand out to all of the children.  Adults $15, Children $10, Children 3 and under are free. Come join us. We are also looking for volunteers to help serve. See the attached flyer for more information.
  5. The 6th grade will be performing the Living Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, March 27th at the 8:30 AM school Mass. We invite you to join us.
  6. The 8th Grade will be holding a Bake Sale on Wednesday, March 27th during lunch. All items are $1 each.
  7. We will be holding our annual Literacy Night on Wednesday, March 27th 6:00-7:15 PM. It is an Olympic themed event where students can earn medals for participating in the different events. The evening is free and we ask you to join us and bring your family, friends and neighbors. See the flyer for more information.
  8. Scholastic Book Fair is coming! The Book Fair will be held in school Monday, March 25th through Wednesday, March 27th. It will also be available during our Literacy Night event.   9. Invitations have been sent out! Our Spring Gala will be held this year on Saturday, April 13th. The Gala will be held at Manzo’s Banquets & Catering, 1571 Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, IL from 6:00-12:00. Tickets are $110 each or a table of 10 for $1000. Dinner, open bar and entertainment are included in the ticket price. All school children of families that attend the gala will have a free dress down pass for every Monday until the end of the school year. Purchase your tickets now. Please consider sponsoring or asking a business to sponsor us as we fundraise for our children’s school. 
  10. The students are participating in 2 different Lenten missions. The school children are participating in Penny Wars and the monies raised from this are going to local charities. The children are also bringing home Rice Bowls as part of the parish Lenten mission. All donations are greatly appreciated. Please bring in your Rice Bowls by March 26th.
  11. There is no school on Friday, March 29th in observance of Good Friday. Easter Break is March 29th through April 5th with classes resuming on Monday, April 8th.
  12. Save the Date for our Girls Sweetheart Dance being held on Saturday, April 20th in Mayall Hall. Check out the flyer for more information. 
  13. Every family received their raffle tickets. Please check your child’s Thursday folder. The second half of fundraising is raffle tickets. Each family is obligated to sell 25 tickets which equals $250. A letter of explanation accompanies the tickets.
  14. There was a $250 charge on your FACTS account in the incidentals. It is for the family obligation of 10 hours of volunteer service to the school. All service hour credits have been entered. Please check your account to make sure that it is accurate. 
  15. You will see additional charges added to your FACTS incidental. A registration fee for the next school year of $100, $250 first half of fundraising, and $250 second half of fundraising.
