Mother's Day Sale - Thank You!

“We at Saginaw County Right to Life extend our sincere thanks for your donations towards the Mother’s Day Corsage and Gift Sale. $334 was collected. We would be unable to continue our work to promote the value of each and every human life were it not for your generosity and support.”

Right Now Media Highlight

I have latched onto the idea that all of the decisions we make are based on the stories we know to be true. The stories might not in fact be true–old wives tales, urban legends, jokes, or advertising, for example, but we make our decisions based on stories. Job Acuff, puts a spin on the story idea by pairing it down to soundtracks–the one liners that run through our brains constantly that either propel us to action, or paralyze us in fear. I listened to Acuff present via RightNow Media and scooped up the book from the library. I often succumb to overthinking. Acuff has helped me to switch my other thinking to meaningful action.

Soundtracks

JON ACUFF

Description

Many of us overthink, questioning our decisions to the point that we never do anything at all. If we do make a decision, our thoughts paralyze us with the fear of “what ifs” and self-doubt. It’s time to get rid of those old negative soundtracks and replace them with true, helpful, and kind soundtracks that lead to meaningful action. Revolutionize the way you think in this six-session series with bestselling author Jon Acuff.

Race for Athletics

The PTO will be sponsoring a Race for Athletics on Thursday, May 23, starting at 1:00 p.m. Students will raise money and participate in the race to benefit St. Paul Lutheran athletes and the athletic department. Funds raised will go towards a quality Wildcat mascot for the school. Additional funds will be gifted to the athletic department for improvements such as: uniforms, new gym wall mats with logo, new equipment, updated school and league banners, and a fresh coat of paint for the gym.

Please watch for pledge forms to come home the week prior to the event.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with the Race for Athletics on May 23, please sign up for an open time slot at this link.

Thank you in advance for making St. Paul a wonderful place to learn, play, and grow!

Information and pledge sheets are going home today, in Friday Folders. Please return by Thursday, May 23.

Drydock

Great news, St. Paul Lutheran School has been chosen again for Drydock on June 5, 6, 7, 8. With only a limited amount of spots available, this is a great opportunity for St. Paul.

Drydock is an outdoor shipping-container-turned-bar, seasonal beer garden, in downtown Bay City at Unity Park. A partnership between two Bay City businesses, this venue provides participating nonprofits with a new and exciting way to fundraise. Beer, wine, and other drinks will be available for purchase. Sales from this event will support our St. Paul Parent Teacher Organization.

The PTO is looking for business donations to help offset the upfront costs for this event. Your business will be advertised online, in newsletters and displayed during the 4 day event. Please contact Cassie Hechlik (989) 213-3461, hechlikc@gmail.com. The PTO will also be looking for volunteers to be at the event, you can find the SignUpGenius below.
