Letter from Principal Young

Dear OLOL Families,

I hope that you all have had a chance to enjoy the fantastic October weather.  I love this time of year when we can open our windows and have fresh air in our homes and the school.

You should have received an email yesterday to sign-up for parent-teacher conferences using PowerSchool.  Please contact Mrs. Hendricks at 336-3091or lhendricks@gracesystem.org. She will be happy to assist you.

The Night of Keys is a month away and we need your help. The most important thing you can do is buy a $100 Key ticket raffle and plan on attending the event. The second biggest need we have now is to contact businesses and sponsors for auction items for the event. We have the business name, contact information and a script to follow. It is just a matter of reaching out and seeing if they would be willing to donate. The last area of need is to call past Key purchasers and sell Key Raffle tickets to them. We again have names, numbers, and a script. Your help in these areas will help us have a successful fundraising night for OLOL. Just a reminder that 2 hours of your TSF hours need to be for the Night of Keys. Sign-up for volunteering can be found later on in the Lourdes Letter under the fundraising section.

I would like to thank all that attended the OLOL Packer Party last week-end. Thanks for your help in supporting our school. Special thanks to the organizers for all of their hard work in putting this great event on.

I was very excited to see Fr. Jim Flocknote last week in reference to OLOL Catholic School. In case you missed Fr. Jim is putting together a forum to grow OLOL Catholic School. If you are interested in being part of this discussion please reach out to me. OLOL Catholic School is a priority for Fr. Jim and we should all be excited about the future.

Excellent job Cavaliers!

Thank you coaches, parents and everyone who supported our teams!

The 5th/6th grade Cavaliers won the league and were tournament champions!

They are proud of the trophy they earned from the league championship on Monday night. They fought from being down 23-15 in the first to win 25-23.

Outstanding job!

The 7th/8th grade Cavaliers also had an outstanding season. They finished second in league and the tournament.

They lost very close games to the league champions but took them to 3 sets in each match.

Great job!
