SPS Shout Outs It’s a celebration of the arts, a history-making team, and school counselors as Seattle Public Schools students and staff members receive recognition for their hard work.   

An Unbreakable Partnership The Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum is partnering with the district to host 2nd graders from SPS Title I schools on a free field trip to the museum. 

One of a Kind B.F. Day’s counseling program was bestowed with the Recognized ASCA Model Program designation – the first in the district to achieve the honor.   

Montlake Tops Out Construction on the new Montlake Elementary campus reached a milestone as the final beam was placed atop the steel structure. 

Earn While You Learn Students can get a jump start on a career in construction through the Seattle Public Schools Skilled Trades Pre-Apprenticeship. 

Oath of Office New School Board directors for districts 2 and 4 will be sworn in on April 4.

Spring into Break Time There will be no school April 8-12 for Spring Break. The district office will remain open.   

ASVAB Exam Option for Seniors Students interested in taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) exam must submit an electronic permission form by April 10. 

Testing, Testing The 2024 AP Exams will be administered in schools May 6-17 with additional dates for late testers. Find out what day your exam will be offered.  

Dance it Out c89.5 FM is partnering with Music: Not Impossible and The Museum of Flight to host an innovative and inclusive dance experience tailored for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community and open to all! 

It’s Not Too Late to Sign Up! SPS wants you to empower yourself to support your child’s education by enrolling in Family Connectors University. 

Making Progress Elementary Progress Reports for Trimester 2 will be available on The Source starting April 8.   

Do You Know Where You Are Going? Open Enrollment for School Choice results will be available April 16. Access your student’s results or waitlist information online through the Assignment Lookup Tool or The Source.   

Apply Now for Preschool The Seattle Preschool Program and Head Start are accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year.   

SPS Student Art Show Opening Soon The Naramore Art Show’s live exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum is back! Naramore celebrates works of art by SPS middle and high school students. The exhibit runs from April 6 to May 12.
