Choose Your School If you are interested in having your student attend a school that is not their assigned neighborhood school, enrollment for 2023-24 School Choice opens Feb. 1.   

School Calendar Change School will be in session on Feb. 2, originally the day between semesters, to make up for one of the five strike days. 

College Bound Resource Fair Students and families can learn more about programs that support college and career goals of people with disabilities on Feb. 4. 

Celebrating School Counselors Feb. 6-10 is National School Counseling Week. Thank you to all our SPS counselors for your commitment to our students! 

Funding Our Future District leadership recently shared information about the decision process to create a balanced budget. 

Guides for Course Registration SPS has developed a planning guide to help with the high school course registration process for the 2023-24 school year. 

Black Lives Matter at School SPS is committed to supporting Black Lives Matter at School Week Feb. 6-10, in solidarity with our students, families, educators, and community partners. 

Mid-Winter Break All schools will be closed Feb. 20-24 for Mid-Winter Break. The district office will be closed Feb. 20, for Presidents Day. School will resume Feb. 27. 

Last Call for Seattle Promise Applications The last day to apply for the scholarship and completing the Seattle Colleges admissions application is Feb. 17.  

Looking Ahead The 2023-24 school year dates have been published. 

UW Upward Bound Ninth and 10th graders are encouraged to apply to UW’s Upward Bound program. The deadline is Feb. 10.
