Last Friday, Nampa said goodbye to the water tower which was installed in the early 1970s and could be easily seen off I-84. For many, the tower served as a beloved landmark during their daily commute. While it was a tough decision, the tower had reached the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced.
We posted a short video last week on Facebook/Instagram showing the removal and it has been viewed over 1.2 million times! You can also watch a short video by clicking the above image. (Thank you to Officer Williams and Officer Beltz for taking drone footage!)
Thank you to the JC Constructors team who safely pulled the tower down and are currently dismantling the steel to be recycled. We are excited they are removing the letter 'N' from the tower so we can preserve a piece of Nampa's history for the community. To learn more about why we needed to remove the tower and plans for its replacement (coming in Spring 2025), read our press release here.
