ORDER YOUR SPECIAL EVENT SIGNS

Saw Creek Estates remains one of the largest communities in the Poconos, with over 8,000 residents.

The Saw Creek Recreation Department works hard each year to provide family-centered positive events for friends and families alike, continuing to improve the quality of life in our community. On June 22nd, 2024, from 2 pm-5 pm, we will welcome over 500+ residents to participate in the fun-filled day of events scheduled at our community field.

Suppose you are planning a birthday party, a special occasion, or a wedding anniversary, or you want to say thank you to someone on your mind. What better way than to advertise this message at our community field at one of the biggest events held in Saw Creek? We want to showcase your thanks and appreciation for your friends and family among our residents with a 1’x1’ advertisement with your personal message. What a unique way to express your deepest thoughts of appreciation for your loved ones at this great event. The cost to you for your 1’x1’ sign is $25.00 and we will have a sign made in your honor with your respective message of choice. We will display your signage on Decker Road a week leading up to the event for all to see, and on Community Day, we will secure a spot for you on our community field and display your signage for the entirety of the event.

If you’re interested in sharing a Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, Congratulations, or any other special message, the process is simple, just email recreation@sawcreek.org and provide the message you’d like to see by June 1st, 2024.

An invoice will be emailed for the $25.00 payment, and it must be paid by June 5th. This is available for the first 50 responses. The Recreation Department will take care of the rest, ensuring your 1’x1’ sign is made and displayed for all to see.

If you have any questions, please email recreation@sawcreek.org. We look forward to displaying your personal messages for our entire community to see.

The nominees are:

Mail & Package Delivery

If you receive mail or a package that has a mailing address different than yours, it may have been placed in your mailbox incorrectly, and will need to be re-delivered by the USPS. Any mail or package with your address, but the name of someone not residing at your property, should be returned to the sender. This can be done by indicating RTS on the envelope or package, and should only be given to a Postal Employee, put in the outgoing mailbox, or dropped off at a Post Office. Packages received through FedEx or UPS should be returned to that delivery service. A pick-up can be scheduled by contacting FedEx or UPS or brought to a business that serves as a drop-off facility for FedEx or UPS. Mail or packages received in error should NOT be brought to the Member Services Office, put in the MSO night drop box, left by the door of MSO, or given to any SCE Employee. The mail or package should also not be left on top of the mailboxes hoping the recipient will see it. This allows the opportunity for the mail or package to be taken by someone who it is not intended for.

Click here for tips if you receive mail for someone else:

Amazon packages are typically sent through USPS, some packages, especially those that are overly large, may have to be picked up at the Bushkill Post Office located at:

5527 Bushkill Falls Road

Bushkill, PA 18324-9998

Residents who have not had a mailbox issued by the Bushkill Post Office, at one of the Saw Creek mailbox locations, may not be able to receive their Amazon packages.

Unfortunately, Amazon trucks/vans do not deliver within the community. This is an Amazon decision, and the Association would not prevent Amazon trucks/vans from entering the community if they ever decide to do so.

Happy Summer from your Safety Committee

"School's Out... School's Out...Teacher Let The Fools Out"

You'll never see this on the Internet!

In a few days, all of our kids will be enjoying their summer vacation. They will be everywhere...along the roads...riding every conceivable type of contraption. Drivers, please be careful. Parents, please remind your kids to walk on the left side of the road (facing traffic) and bike on the right (with the flow of traffic). Save the horsing around until you get to your destination.

On another subject, the spraying of the spongy moths went well. They are falling out of the trees like rain. If they are lying all over your deck or patio, remember, this means they aren't eating and destroying our trees.

Finally, the Safety Committee would like to thank all the crossing guards who kept our kids safe this school year. My kids are all grown up, but when I'm out on my daily errands, I see Janese Porter and Jay Jamison at the DCC bus stop and at the main gate bus stop, respectively. Every day, no matter the weather. I know there are many more of these unsung heroes at other bus stops. If you see them, why not give them a big "Thank You" or a shout-out here at The Week at the Creek. They've earned it.

Camp Thunder

Summer camp is being offered June 17th-August 16th. Registration is limited to 40 children each week and is on a first come first served basis. Click here for the camp application: https://sawcreek.org/summer-camp-application-2024/

Q. Are residents allowed to drive ATV’s, golf carts, or

2. Non-motorized vehicles: Bicycles and non-motorized scooters may be operated on Saw Creek Estates roadways subject to all motor vehicle speed limits, traffic controls and regulations.
