Today, in the interest of expediency, the hills have been scraped off the face of the earth and sold for road construction dirt or to make concrete blocks. There are no more rolling hills in Clermont and the opportunity to build spectacular communities nestled into the once majestic hills slipped through our fingers like the sand that was sold.
The next time you see a monumental overpass remember that the dirt undergirding that road was once in your backyard. The city that was once the Gem of the Hills now has the same topography as every other Florida city.

Following God‘s Instruction, Moses lifted up his staff and spread his hands across the water. God separated the water of the Red Sea and the Israelites escaped across dry land thwarting the armies of Egypt.
