2013 is going to be a great event season in Somerville with something for everyone to do Downtown! Beginning next week with Arts on Division and FestiVille, May wraps up with the Tour of Somerville. Summer brings the return of the Thursday Farmers Market and Friday Night Classic Cruisers Car Show. This year will feature a 6 week concert series on Division Street and Movies return to the Downtown beginning July 11! Stayed tuned for updates on these and many other exciting happenings in Downtown Somerville!

The Somerville Arts Initiative is a coalition of business leaders; local, regional and state government; arts organizations; and interested individuals are working together to infuse the arts into life in downtown Somerville and to use the arts as a tool to build economic growth, and cultural diversity.
The goal of the Somerville Arts Initiative is to create an arts district (and program) centered on Division Street and ultimately linking Main Street to the Station Area with public spaces and a variety of arts venues that will build Somerville's reputation as an 'arts destination'.

Celebrate all that is great about Somerville in the Downtown! Saturday, May 18th, from noon to 5pm, Downtown Somerville is the place to be.
Businesses, schools, churches, and service organizations from all over the 'Ville will be showing off their best.
Main Street will be closed from Bridge Street to Doughty so that you can take advantage of downtown wide sidewalk sales and the 'Ville's amazing restaurants' offerings while listening to live music and watching the acts of world renowned street performers.
Lots of entertainment is set for kids...petting zoos, pony rides, live music, rides, face painters, pig races (yep pig races!) and much, much, more!

This FREE community event offers something for everyone! Join us in cheering some of the best cyclists in the world while we honor veterans, reunite with old friends and make new ones, and take pride in our history.

50/50 Raffle:
Middle Earth is selling 50/50 raffle tickets for $1 each for youth programs. The winner will be chosen at the Tour's completion (you do not need to be present to win). You can purchase tickets on the race course or in advance by calling 908-725-7223.
Donate Bikes:
Bring your old bicycles or bicycle parts - in any condition, shape or style - to the Middle Earth tent at the Tour to help launch a teen-operated bicycle shop. Learn more.
