Happy Holidays from SOS!
This photo may have you wishing for a fresh blanket of snow for the holiday season. This image was captured back on Halloween and we haven't seen snow since. Perhaps this is more evidence as to why we need to protect our dense, mature tree canopy to continue the work of carbon sequestering.
As we close out the year, we want to share updates on the ongoing effort to oppose the Summit Ave Regional Bike Trail plan:
· SOS continues to work hard to get the real facts out, which prove convincingly that the proposed trail is the wrong fit for Summit Avenue
· SOS has filed a challenge in the Minnesota Court of Appeals to the city’s refusal to consider the significant adverse environmental impacts of the proposed trail, and we are optimistic about our chances to force the City to do an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW)
· We still very much need your support, both financially and as fact-based advocates.
