Mary of Magdala Announcements

This Wednesday - Join with us to explore interspirituality

The current disunity in Christianity, and between zealous believers of many kinds, reflects elements of hidden, super subtle prejudices inhabiting our old consciousness.

The Gospel, as a universal way of being human, invites us to move toward a further Christic horizon; to enter a deeper, more whole life in Christ.

This presentation will explore new directions highlighted by Thomas Merton and Thomas Keating, and others, and Rev. Len Schreiner’s own understanding

of the “complete Christ” and the transcendent nature of the scriptures. It will identify steps along the interspiritual path toward “becoming a universal spiritual person,” and the soulful consciousness of the mystic, the contemplative, and the peacemaker.

October 18 and 25

Spirituality/Theology - Book Exchange

October 22

Would you like to pass on some of your well-loved books and get several new ones in return? Then stop by Mary of Magdala’s book exchange table in the narthex after our joint worship service on October 22, 2023. If you have no books to offer—don’t fret—take some that interest you anyway.

Books on spirituality, theology, and faith are welcome!

Weekly Monday Morning Peace Prayer

Peace reaches deep into our psyche to heal and renew. It radiates from the deepest place within us. While it seems that all creation and institutional bodies are in chaos, Jesus still calls us to the Peace of Christ (John 20.21). It is that Peace within us that radiates outward.

“Where two or more are gathered, there I am in your midst”

(Matt 18:19-20).

If you have the inclination and 20 minutes, please join us in prayer Pray with us for peace in the world and within ourselves.
