Mailing Leads Scam E-Mail Warning
SaskCulture was alerted about an email phishing scheme that is sending emails asking recipients to purchase SaskCulture's B2B Email list. This is not a legitimate product and these emails should be considered a scam and identified as SPAM. Please let others know if they receive these emails to disregard and block this sender. And be sure to review some of the leading practices you, and your organizations, can take to help stay safe online.
SaskCulture sends out emails confirming funding amounts, but does not sell products to funding recipients. If you have any questions about any email you receive from SaskCulture, please contact our office at 306-780-9284 or info@saskculture.ca.

Resilience Training for Arts & Culture Organizations
On behalf of the Creative City Network of Canada (CCNC), SaskCulture, Saskatchewan Arts Alliance, Heritage Saskatchewan and the City of Saskatoon, your organization is invited to attend a workshop on crisis planning and resilience for culture sector organizations. Facilitator Grégoire Gagnon (Executive Director of the Cultural Human Resources Council) will facilitate a four-hour interactive workshop highlighting the many different approaches to innovation in Canada’s culture sector demonstrated during COVID-19. Space is limited to allow for physical distancing.
This event is taking place in-person on Tuesday, July 12 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm in the Riverview Room of the Remai Modern Art Gallery in Saskatoon. Deadline to register is July 8.

SaskCulture Cybersecurity Webinar
SaskCulture offered members a chance to attend a Cybersecurity webinar session on June 14. Neal Woloschuk (Lexcom Systems Group) and Adam Thomson (Henderson Insurance) spoke about issues such as SPAM and phishing messages, ransomware, and other digital threats and issues that organizations should be aware of. The webinar has been made available online through YouTube, for those who were unable to attend the live session.

Saskatchewan Order of Merit Recipients for 2022
Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty announced the eight recipients for the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, Saskatchewan's highest honour. The recipients will be invested in a ceremony in September. Among the recipients, for the cultural sector, are:

Awards Recognize Excellence in Saskatchewan
The first Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards are accepting nominations until August 1, 2022. This new awards program replaces the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence, and will be awarded on September 26, 2022 at an awards gala held in Regina at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre.
Nominations are open for the 2022 Canadian Tourism Awards, which recognize success, leadership and innovation in Canada's tourism industry. Nominations close on July 31, 2022. Awards will be presented on November 23, 2022 at the Tourism Association of Canada's annual Tourism Congress in Ottawa.
