October 2023

Sara Riel acknowledges that we live and work on Treaty One Territory, the homeland of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota, Dene, and Oji-Cree peoples, and the homeland of the Metis Nation. We approach our work with humility and in hopes of contributing to an agenda of reconciliation.

Sara Riel’s 11th Annual Mental Health & Wellness Expo will be held Thursday, October 5th at the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion Street between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. with FREE admission to all. At this event, we will be bringing together local organizations who provide services in the mental health and wellness field. Together we hope to educate and bring awareness to individuals searching for a better understanding of the mental health services that our community provides. Whether they are seeking support for counselling, employment, housing, poverty reduction or addictions, attendees can learn how to navigate through the mental health system and start their “Recovery”.

There will be speakers at the top of every hour!

A Message from Tara

Mental Health and Addictions have never been so front and center as more and more people need help. It is unfortunate that many people are struggling.

Sara Riel is committed to meeting people where they are at and providing the support they need. Sara Riel has expanded this support to be even more encompassing and has done so with increasing its programming.

The Sara Riel commitment to all of you is that we are your most essential partner.

In the last few months, employment services has doubled, new housing support has been provided, family workshops have been introduced and we still continue to help people with case management, respite, peer support, housing, mentorship, employment, portable housing, the warmline, and the 1-2-1 project for loneliness.

We believe that everyone can reach their full potential and we provide the tools to get you there.
