a Huge Success!

In honour of Mental Illness Awareness Week, Sara Riel held their 11th Annual Mental Health and Wellness Expo at the Norwood Hotel, October 5th. The turnout to the event was tremendous and it was a pleasure to be able to organize this event and offer a free space for resource sharing, learning, and connection.
The Expo speakers included: Dr. Sonia Marrone (Reflective Listening is the Alchemy of Compassion), Emeline Essembion (Overriding the Immigration Status), David Stewart (Recovery), Jane Meagher (ADHD) and Ruta Molner (Living with Bipolar 1). Every speaker encountered an outstanding audience response and it was a pleasure to have them all be part of Sara Riel's event.

Group, Maple Leaf Construction, Blind Ambitions, Prairie Architects and the Norwood Hotel for the generous contributions.
The collaboration of diverse agencies and organizations in resource-sharing proves advantageous for the entire community. We were pleasantly surprised as sixty organizations participated, contributing to the event's success. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, paving the way for a return visit to MIAD in 2024.
Expressing her excitement, Chief Executive Officer Tara Snider remarked, "I am extremely pleased with the success of the event. The speakers were exceptional, the room was filled with eager organizations ready to share their resources, Sara Riel's staff actively contributed, and the turnout was unprecedented. A heartfelt thank you to everyone!"
