Pick Your Own Apples Begin, and

Read & Pick Fun at Terhune Orchards

August is half over, but there is still tons of summer fun to be had here at Terhune Orchards.

From the final two Sangria Weekends of the season to pick your own apples, flowers, and table grapes to two straight weeks of Read & Pick fun – there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the farm!

Pick Your Own Flowers, Table Grapes & Apples

Surprise! Early apple picking begins this weekend! Join us Saturday & Sunday to pick apples and table grapes. And flowers, as always, are available seven days a week.

Two Weeks in a Row of Read & Pick!

Read & Pick is an innovative program that combines a hands-on farm activity with your young child followed by an education program with stories highlighting the fruit or farm area.

The cost is $12.00 per child and includes the craft activity or fruit. All programs have 9:30am and 11am sessions, each lasting about one hour.

Read & Pick: Farm Animals

Today, Tuesday 8/20

9:30am & 11am

Parents and young children (ages preschool to 8 years) are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about farm animals.

In this session, we will read books about farm animals followed by an educational component. Then everyone will participate in a farm craft activity with wool from Terhune Orchards’ own sheep!

Read & Pick: Apples

Next Tuesday 8/27

9:30am & 11am

Parents and young children (ages preschool to 8 years) are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about apples.

We celebrate our favorite fruit here at Terhune Orchards in this special program. We will be reading books about apples and Johnny Appleseed followed by an educational component. Then everyone will pick their own small container of apples. Our farm staff will explain how apples grow and how they should be picked.
