Shower of Blessings

I was out walking the other day and clouds gathered into a spontaneous shower, unpredicted by the forecasters. I felt the unforeseen blessings drench me, raining down from a previously cloudless sky, and felt joyfully refreshed. There is a guru-yoga practice in our tradition called, “Shower of Blessings.” Through this practice of the Seven Line Prayer one enters the self-same recognition of that which our teacher mirrors—our own true luminous nature.

The sole sufficient prayer is the Seven-Line invocation. Through the power of this prayer, you will perceive the ultimate teacher’s face directly. If you recite this prayer continuously for seven or twenty-one days, accomplishments and blessings will shower upon you, and you’ll be free from every obstacle.

This is the power of practice, falling as a “gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath.” (Shakespeare)

🙏🏼Much Love,

Michael

"Generosity brings happiness at every stage of its expression.

We experience joy in forming the intention to be generous.

We experience joy in the actual act of giving something.

And we experience joy in remembering the fact that we have given."
