Liberating Our Otherism

When Buddha ‘woke up’ to his true nature, he recognized the idea of separateness, ego-clinging, as the source of all our suffering and disconnection. Ego-clinging drives all our divisiveness—all the racism, ageism, gender bias, political divides, wars, etc. The ego maintains its identity by distinguishing itself from ‘others’. I call this fear of what we do not understand, “otherism.”

May all beings suffering from selfishness remember their true nature and dissolve the illusory boundary between self and other. May compassion rise from the ashes of misunderstanding.

Much Love,

🙏🏼Michael
