San Gabriel’s Dumpling & Beer Fest Returns on October 6; Tickets Go on Sale on September 8

This year's event will feature 14 regional craft breweries and local culinary delights.

San Gabriel, Calif. San Gabriel’s Dumpling & Beer Fest, a local twist on Oktoberfest, returns on Friday, October 6 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the historic Mission District. This event brings together a range of delicious dumplings and other SGV culinary delights, as well as 14 regional craft breweries and their unique hoppy brews.


Admission to the festival is free; tickets are required for the artisanal beer garden. Early-bird tickets are available for $35 from September 8 to September 22, and regular-priced tickets will be available for $40 beginning September 23 until sold out. Tickets can be purchased at dumplingandbeerfest.com.


The Dumpling & Beer Fest will offer a culinary block party experience with a wide variety of sumptuous dumplings for purchase. These dumplings range from traditional classics to eclectic creations such as rainbow-colored dumplings, bratwurst dumplings, cheeseburger dumplings and pan-fried pizza dumplings. In addition to dumplings, non-alcoholic beverages, delectable desserts and other mouthwatering bites will be available for purchase throughout the festival.


Ticketed attendees aged 21 and above can enjoy the outdoor craft beer garden and savor unlimited pours from breweries such as:

As the sun sets, attendees can enjoy music by live DJs, including a mobile “Soundbox Truck” DJ in the beer garden. Outside of the beer garden, children can join in a variety of activities, including crafting their own dumpling plushies and enjoying face-painting sessions.


The City of San Gabriel has partnered with the Asian Youth Center (AYC) to present this enriching event to the community. The Dumpling & Beer Fest is made possible through the invaluable support of community partners, including San Gabriel Nursery & Florist, RKA Consulting Group, Assemblymember Mike Fong, Athens Services, Blossom Market Hall, Newport Seafood, JMD Consulting and Colonial Life Insurance.
