Don't forget to keep an eye on our Facebook page at Facebook.com/IamSamaritas where we will be dropping posts and quotes celebrating Samaritas volunteers through the month of April!

What you have helped make possible so far this year:

Volunteer Spotlight

Congratulations to the volunteer award winners at Southeast MI’s New Americans Program: Sarah Martin-Fanone, Kim Swank, Kim Fronrath, and Rachel Williams. These four women were recognized at the Southeast MI New Americans’ International Woman’s Day event, celebrating the cultural diversity of our female clients, women-run community partnerships, and female volunteers.

Sarah, Kim, Kim, and Rachel were honored for their large impact consistently volunteering their time and going above and beyond for our clients.

THANK YOU for bringing so much joy

to those in need!

Upcoming Events

May 18-19, 2024

This May, Samaritas is celebrating National Foster Care Month in partnership with Kendra Scott’s Designer Jewelry Store in Novi! From May 18th-19th you can shop at Kendra Scott online using the code “GIVEBACK-GARQJ” and 20% of all proceeds will go to Samaritas to help us serve families, seniors, and children throughout Michigan.

Want to shop in person? If you stop by the store in the Twelve Oaks Mall on May 18th from 1pm-4pm, you can shop in-person with 20% of sales going back to Samaritas, enjoy refreshments, AND say hi to Samaritas staff who will be there to answer your questions about foster care.

We need your help! Help us reach our goal of $5,000 by spreading the word to your fashion friends and networks! If 84 shoppers recruit 5 more people to buy only one piece of jewelry, we can make our goal!

URGENT: Virtual Volunteer Opportunity - Sleuths Wanted!

Do you love finding information online and talking to cool people?

Are you a stickler for accuracy and know your way around a spreadsheet?

Do you like short-term projects – get in, get it done, celebrate!

Samaritas is updating our contact information list for faith partners to better communicate and provide opportunities for members to engage in our Mission. This is a short-term project, with big-time impact to help connect with more people who care and want to help those we serve!

Online research and updates can be done at any time of the day.

When needed, phone calls to church offices would be during their office hours – which vary.
