Both sports are for 7th/8th graders. Sign-up on FinalForms and a current physical on file with the school are required. Athletes should meet in the gym after school on the Monday after Spring Break. An activity bus will be available after practice at 5:15pm for normal bus riders.
Third quarter ends on April 14th. Report cards will be posted in PowerSchool, and paper copies will be sent home with your student(s) on April 21st.

"BE YOU" CLUB
The Salk "BE YOU" Club partnered with "SP Drug Free" and Christy Peterson from Shadle to put on a Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council (GSSAC) prevention puppet show for Ridgeview 3rd/4th graders. This was our 2nd year partnering for this event. We also had our Shadle Park Prevention and Wellness Coalition leader, Heather Osborne, join us and provide a pizza planning party before heading over to Ridgeview. It is so great to see our middle and high school student leaders collaborate and shine as positive role models, answering questions of elementary students after the performance.
Snow Makeup Day
Due to the snow day on November 30th, the last day of school will now be Tuesday, June 20th. June 20th will be a half day for students. Friday, June 16th, which was originally the last day of school, will now be a full day. Monday, June 19th, is the Juneteenth holiday and there will be no school on that day.

Vaccination Reminder
All students going into the 7th grade need to have an up-to-date vaccine record showing they received the Tdap immunization after age 11, or an up-to-date certificate of exemption letter signed by a doctor on file before they start 7th grade. If you haven't turned that in already, please get it in as soon as possible.
Planning Ahead
SBAC testing will be May 2nd-5th and May 9th-12th. Please try to have your students here on time and try not to pull students out early or schedule appointments to limit disruptions in the classrooms. For your planning purposes, please click on the link below to see the testing bell schedule.
