Maria Ximena Sussman was born in Guatemala.  Since the young age of 7 she has had a lifelong dream to become both a police officer and an attorney. 

“I didn’t know what order or when,” she said, “but I knew that those were two important goals that I wanted to accomplish.”  She has reached both of those goals and much more. 

She served on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department force for three years on patrol and though she enjoyed it immensely she had a desire to start her own legal practice.  She completed law school and established Sussman Law Firm, PLLC in 2015.  The main office is located in Charlotte.  The firm expanded to establish an office in Salisbury, North Carolina at the Salisbury Business Center in March of 2017.

“Our goal is to offer the Spanish speaking community in Rowan county and within the state of North Carolina legal representation in a broad range of practice areas,” she stated.  Maria Sussman speaks fluent Spanish and English.

“We want our clients to feel comfortable and we want to provide them with excellent client services,” she said.  Clients have access to a secure online portal where they can review documents and check on the status of their case 24 hours a day.
