Post-Presbytery Meeting Notes

Salem Presbytery gathered for its Stated Meeting on Tuesday, August 6th. It was a day of moving worship, good fellowship, outstanding hospitality from our friendship at Jamestown Presbyterian, and tending to the business of the presbytery.

The meeting also included the calling of Rev. Paul Sink as our new Stated Clerk, and the heartfelt appreciation of the presbytery to outgoing Stated Clerk Elder David Vaughan. (Pictures to come!)

If you missed the meeting, see below for appropriate video links.

Flower Bulb Fund-Raiser at Elkin Presbyterian

Are you or members of your church going to be buying bulbs this fall to plant for spring? Want to buy bulbs and help hungry kids in our Presbytery? Every month, Elkin Presbyterian Church works with their local school districts to send bags of food home to ensure students who qualify for meal programs have something to eat over the weekend. This cost the Church $7000+ dollars a year (they have around 100 members at this Church). If you purchase bulbs from this site (which guarantees 100% satisfaction) they will be delivered to your door and half of the funds will help keep this food program going! Please make sure to select Elkin Presbyterian from the list of non-profits. Thank you!
