Faith Focus

First Friday

This Friday we will continue our tradition of honoring the First Friday devotion with all school Mass. It is often marked by a special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus since Jesus died for us and won our salvation on a Friday. St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690) reported visions of Jesus Christ directing her to promote devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on nine consecutive First Fridays in reparation for sins and to show love to Jesus. We pray your family continues this devotion through the summer.

May Crowning - First Friday

All students are asked to bring in ONE flower this Friday, May 3 for our May Crowning ceremony at Mass. Bring your flower to your homeroom teacher on the morning of May 3. We will make a beautiful basket of flowers for Our Lady, Mother Mary! Thank you for helping your child honor our Blessed Mother.

FUN IN THE SUN

All Things Fun In the Sun (FITS)

Spreading the Sunshine

Over the next few weeks you will see a board on the fence next to the gym. For each donation of $25 or more made to Fun in the Sun, we will display the family’s name on it. It is our goal to fill the board. You will be able to see the board as you go through the car line to pick up or drop off your students. Please consider donating!! These donations help us to pay for the snow cones, prizes, DJ, games, photo booth, dunk tank, and many other costs that go into making the day GREAT for the kids. Donations ALSO benefit teachers and their wish list items! Donations may be made through the same Acceptiva link used to register your Saint. Please consider helping us to defer the costs of this fun event. Every donation really helps, no matter the size!

Missing Fun in the Sun?

We don’t want anyone left out, so we make sure all students are accounted for with lunch or tickets. If your student is going to be absent for Fun in the Sun day please use the registration link to let us know.

Late registration begins May 4 with a late fee of $25 per child!

NO lunch option available after May 3!

Registration is required and now open! Click the button to sign up your Saint(s)! Make sure to purchase a lunch / wristband / tshirt during registration. Each child needs a separate registration. Additional tickets for grades 2-8 may also be purchased via the link. Remember, tickets are NOT required to play games. Tickets are for treats/snacks and baskets.

The cafeteria will be closed during Fun in the Sun, so your child will need to purchase a Chick-fil-A lunch (online) or bring one from home.

Donations Needed for Lucky Ticket Baskets

Lucky Ticket Baskets are special baskets FILLED with the most popular items your kids want right now! During FITS day, the kids have the opportunity to drop tickets into a drawing for each basket (multiple entries are welcome). At the end of the day, during the closing ceremonies, winners will be drawn for each basket (students must be present to win). Your donation towards the Lucky Ticket Baskets helps us to offset our costs, give even more back to the school, AND get some incredibly cool baskets for the kids. Emails were sent out last week requesting donations. Please consider donating items based on the theme described in the email.

FITS Volunteer Sign Up

Fun in the Sun cannot happen without you, our parent volunteers!
