The Pride Committee is thrilled to unveil the theme for this year’s October Pride event: “Love, Faith, Pride.” This theme celebrates the richness of our diverse community and the strength we find in unity. It reminds us that every voice matters and every story is essential in building a more inclusive and loving world, reflecting the boundless love of God.
To commemorate this special occasion, we are introducing a special edition Pride T-shirt.
Sizes will be available for all ages (even babies!), ensuring everyone can join in the celebration. Pride T-shirts and other merch can be purchased at: www.etsy.com/shop/SaintMarkBoutique
Let’s wear our “Love, Faith, Pride” T-shirts with joy and pride as we come together in God’s love for this meaningful event.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to celebrating with you!

Current Sermon Series: Signs! God Speaks
Sunday's Sermon: Green Light
Throughout this series, we will look at the varied ways God may speak to us through the different signs we see each day. Throughout Scripture, we hear of God speaking audible to some persons, but there are also many occasions in Scripture where God spoke through other means. God spoke to Moses through a burning bush; God spoke to Daniel and others through dreams; God spoke through Scripture; and God also spoke through circumstances. For this series, we will use road signs we see daily as examples of how God may be speaking to us even through them.

Join us for Homecoming at St. Mark UMC!
Homecoming is a time to WELCOME ALL HOME! This could be current members, former members, or anyone who's had a connection to St Mark UMC over the years (this also includes pastors). Homecoming is an opportunity to celebrate where the church has been and where the church is going, and we are pleased to have Rev. Dr. Mandy Sloan McDow help lead us in worship.
August 25th will be a day of celebration as we have an opportunity to join together in worship, music, fellowship, and a meal (which will follow our worship service).

Building Our Way Forward
St. Mark, we are building our way forward as a church! We invite you to hear more about this work that we have been engaging in and will continue living into. Join us on Sunday, August 18th for a church-wide presentation about the restoration work that has taken place in our physical building and how that work is building us up as a beloved community. This presentation will take place on August 18th at 10AM in Wade Hall. A light breakfast will be served.

On Sunday July 28th, a group of St. Markers participated in our Open Doors event that accompanies Atlanta Streets Alive. Through this event, we opened our doors to the community so they could come in and bear witness to the history and hospitality of our church. On this past Sunday, we had countless members of the community visit and experience just a little bit of what makes St. Mark so special. We were thrilled to be able to hand out fresh popcorn, popsicles, and ice-cold water. And in the midst of all of this, we had time to get to know those we were serving with, those who stopped by, and even those who excel at cornhole! Friends, it's always a great opportunity to get out and meet our community. Our last Open Doors will be Sunday, August 18th. Please be sure to mark it on your calendars - it's been a great time!

Back to School Supply Drive
The Children’s Ministry would like to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to this year’s school supply drive! The response from the community was overwhelming and the people at Hope Hill Elementary were blown away by the kindness and generosity of everyone who donated. Because of YOU, the school supply drive was a smash hit and Saint Mark donated over 2 bins of school supplies! The school year is off to a great start at Hope Hill Elementary School! Thank you!
