Counselors Corner

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental Health Awareness Month was established in1949 to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in Americans' lives, and to celebrate recovery from mental illness. Mental health is essential for a person's overall health. Mental Health Awareness Month gives all of us a valuable opportunity to celebrate the tremendous strides we have made in promoting mental health and increasing the public's knowledge of effective services and supports. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’d like to share the following resources with our families. At Saint Joe's, we believe it’s important to educate the whole child and it is our goal to meet your students' needs academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Book Fair: Volunteers Needed

We are delighted to bring the Book Fair back to Saint Joe’s! This year, the fair will run from Tuesday, May 28 to Friday, May 31. Please consider volunteering to help HERE to select a time to offer assistance. It takes many hands to help our book fair run smoothly! Your help is greatly appreciated!

Field Day: BBQ Lunch

Mark your calendars! Field Day, a cherished tradition at Saint Joe's, is set to take place on Monday, June 10th, for our Preschool through Grade 5 students. This year, we're excited to revive the beloved BBQ lunch tradition with a little help from our Saint Joe's dads! To ensure we can host this special BBQ lunch, we're seeking volunteers to assist with the grills and lunch preparation. If you're interested in being a part of this fun and delicious event, please email the Parent-Student Association (PSA) at PSA@sjs-needham.org. Stay tuned for more info and for the sign-up to help with Field Day games.
