Message from Mrs. Tonkovich
Partners in Faith

St. John “Don” Bosco had a special charism — inspiring and transforming the minds and hearts of rebellious youths to live the Gospel. The main feature on page one outlines four of his practices for forming young minds and hearts for Christ.

The gestures made during the Catholic Mass have raised questions for ages: one of them is bowing during the Creed. Find out the deeper meaning behind this particular gesture in the Why Do Catholics Do That? feature on page one.

Holiness results when we honor God and follow His ways, but “tuning in” to God’s voice doesn’t come naturally. The main feature on page two gives simple, practical suggestions for teaching children how to listen for God’s voice

Read Across America Day

March 2nd is Read Across America Day!

This event, begun by the National Education Association, is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading and the birthday of the beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss.
