Denton and Dee Kernodle will be moving to Searcy next week. They have been an integral part of the Southwest Church since it’s beginning 50 years ago. Denton has led as a shepherd for 40 years and both he and Dee have taught, counseled and served in a variety of ways. Their move will certainly leave a void, however, we wish them God’s greatest blessing as they embark on this next adventure.

Over the past year, the marriage ministry team has been planning and praying over our first marriage retreat weekend happening April 26th - 28th. The time is finally here and we are so excited to see the fruits of that labor, and to watch the Lord work in our marriages.

Registration has already begun and will continue each Sunday morning following service in the BLC lobby through March 24th. The cost of the retreat is $250 per couple and that includes meals, lodging and speaker fees. Each couple will have a private room and bathroom. We have several Southwest couples who have expressed their desire to help with retreat costs if needed. Please let us know if the cost presents a financial burden.

We invite any and all married couples to attend (young, not so young, newlyweds, not so newlywed and everyone in between). We plan to enjoy a weekend of beautiful scenery, activities, worship and growing a stronger bond with your spouse.
