SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY MINISTRY CENTER is launching an additional educational series entitled

Nurturing Ministry Skills

This series will occur virtually on Zoom.

Available to both clergy and laity, the series launches on:

Coping with 2 Years of a Pandemic: Care for Self and Others

Dr. Jim Higginbotham

Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Earlham School of Religion

Registration is free, but required. Continuing Education certificates (.15 CEUs) are available for $10 per event. During registration process, you will have the opportunity to pay for the CEUs.

The series will continue (dates to be determined) with various presenters and topics on leadership, conflict management, pastoral benefits calculator, as well as many other topics. Stay tuned for more information.

Bio for Jim Higginbotham

Jim Higginbotham is Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling and Associate Dean at Earlham School of Religion. He has taught at colleges and seminaries in Indiana, Ohio, and China; and he has broad experience in pastoral ministry, community and pastoral counseling, chaplaincy, and community organizing. Jim is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He earned his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in Religion and Personality. As a pastoral and practical theologian, Jim has written and lectured on crisis pastoral care and counseling as well as many other topics.
