Jim Higginbotham is Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling and Associate Dean at Earlham School of Religion. He has taught at colleges and seminaries in Indiana, Ohio, and China; and he has broad experience in pastoral ministry, community and pastoral counseling, chaplaincy, and community organizing. Jim is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He earned his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in Religion and Personality. As a pastoral and practical theologian, Jim has written and lectured on crisis pastoral care and counseling as well as many other topics.
