Gate 15: Analysis. Resilience. Operations.

The Gate 15 Resilience and Intelligence Portal: Technology-enhanced, human-driven, homeland security risk management to help protect our nation’s people, places, data, and dollars.

We are excited to announce that we will be transitioning to our new Gate 15 Resilience and Intelligence Portal (GRIP), hosted on the Cyware Collaborate platform, on 17 June 2024. Starting on 17 June 2024, the GRIP will be the only means to access the SUN and other Gate 15 intel products.

The GRIP provides secure access to Gate 15's threat-informed and risk-based intelligence and analysis, resources, as well as the ability to interact with our team. Through the GRIP, homeland security partners will receive:

  • The Gate 15 SUN.
  • A generative-AI video version of the SUN.
  • One to two weekly TARGET reports.
  • The weekly ransomware roll-up.
  • RSS feeds.
  • Advisories shared by partner organizations.
  • And other notifications and alerts.

Please complete the two steps below to sign-up and join the GRIP.

Background

The move to Constant Contact was always meant as a transition after the unfortunate decisions made at then-Twitter, now X, that forced our previous service, paper.li, out of operations. To continue to provide you with the SUN, we changed the format and moved to Constant Contact. The transition to Cyware completes that transition process.

Answers to Your Questions

Will I still get the SUN via email? You will still get the SUN via email, but it will be coming from the portal as we transition away from Constant Contact for distribution.

Why is there a fee to join the GRIP in order to receive the SUN? The SUN is a technology-enhanced, human-curated product following the Intelligence Cycle and is time-intensive, requiring resources and real, human, experience, and expertise. This product is meant to help inform recipients of the ever-evolving threat landscape, provide guidance and resources to help enhance operations and resilience. While we share it to give back to our homeland security community, we ask that recipients who value the product contribute a small amount to support that effort. There are roughly 260 workdays a year. We’re asking subscribers to pay the equivalent of a dollar a workday to maintain their subscription, gain access to our new secure homeland security portal, and to be able to enjoy our other products and support. Subscriptions are for a year, billed annually, and are non-refundable.

Is this meant to replace my company’s Cyber Threat Intelligence platform? No. The GRIP is not a CTI solution. While Cyware is a Threat Intel Platform (TIP), and the GRIP is meant to enhance threat and risk awareness, and to help inform and support organizational resilience, it is not intended to replace your existing CTI. We do, however, strongly encourage organizations to adopt Cyware’s solutions as a part of organizational resilience. Gate 15 works with Cyware to support implementing Cyware solutions and use because we believe effectively implementing Cyware can help organizations effectively share intelligence within their organizations, with their information sharing community and within the broader homeland security enterprise and address some of the most frequently identified issues we observe in exercises and real-world after-action discussions.
