Thanks again to everyone who attended this years' Economic Summit. We had over 250 attendees and we collected hundreds of ideas, suggestions and comments from the participants on ways to "Build An Economy for Those That Live It." The Housing Ready Team Issues related to housing face every jurisdiction in the valley. The discussion of these issues are often populated by people with only their own personal interests in mind. They frequently dominate the conversation and oppose even the smallest change for fear of the unknown. It is important that the needs of the entire community are considered when housing initiatives and housing developments are considered. To do this we need the community at large, even those without a personal interest, to show up and be heard. SVED will notify members of this "housing ready team" when there are housing related issues up for discussion in the community. SVED may, or may not, have a position on the issue and we won't ask that you take a particular position. Just go and let your opinion and perspective be known. The Marketing Ready Team Destination Resorts are dynamic and continually evolving. Likewise, destination resort marketing and funding needs to keep pace. Every city SVED serves in Blaine County has a link to tourism. Our Community will be exploring ways to increase, diversify and stabilize funding for marketing in 2020. Virtually every business in every sector benefits from visitors either directly or indirectly. Involvement and support from the entire community will be critical for this effort. Young Professionals Group Organizing!

SVED's 'Next Generation Panel' from the 2019 Economic Summit inspired the formation of an independent Young Professionals network.
