Intramurals Week 2024 is in full swing. This long-standing SUA tradition builds camaraderie, class spirit, and sisterhood. The week culminates in a day of fun competition on Friday and an all-school pizza party. We are excited to create more memories that last a lifetime!

Last Call for Summer School!
SUA will offer summer school during May/June 2024. If your daughter is interested in taking Health, Personal Finance, or Test Preparation this summer, refer to the registration form linked below for details about dates/times, along with summer school policies.
Please return the registration form linked below, along with the $250 fee, to the Main Office by April 26, 2024.

Senior parents—if you need extra graduation announcements, you may purchase them in the Main Office for $1.95 per announcement.

France Trip
SUA French teacher Mrs. Arnold is planning a student trip* to Paris, France, in June 2025. If your daughter is interested, please attend an informational parent meeting on Thursday, April 25, at 6:00 p.m. in The Learning Commons (TLC), or email Mrs. Arnold at jarnold@toledosua.org.
*The trip group is limited to 15 students. Priority registration will be given to rising juniors and seniors who have taken advanced French courses.

Architecture Club
The Toledo AIA High School Design Competition was held last week, and SUA students Sara Ostrosky '26 and Evelyn Merricle '27 submitted designs to the competition. Sara won second place in the Material Innovation category!
These Arrows are part of an Architecture Club, made up of SUA and St. Francis de Sales students. Scot Rossi is the club's professional architect mentor.

Class of 2025 BGSU College Application Day
Bowling Green State University is hosting a free application day exclusively for rising seniors at SUA. There’s no commitment to BGSU when submitting an early application. Students who apply early will have maximum scholarship opportunities.
A BGSU admissions representative will be at SUA on Friday, May 10, during seminar and lunch, in the Chapel. Students need to bring a fully-charged laptop and a copy of their activities resume. Your daughter must register for the program at the link below by May 3.

Scholarship Opportunity
The Association of Ohio Commodores Scholarship
The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) has a new scholarship for K-12 students, the Association of Ohio Commodores Scholarship. The application is available at the link below. The application must be sent to FAO by Wednesday, May 15.

Attendance Office Protocols
Absences
All absences must be reported to the attendance line at (419) 329-2222 by 9:00 a.m. This line is available 24 hours a day for messages.
Appointments
For early dismissals because of appointments, etc., please send a note with your daughter before school starts so that her dismissal can be recorded in PowerSchool well before the appointment time. Runners are not available to retrieve students from classes for last-minute dismissals. Students will exit the building at the Main door after signing out in the attendance office. Please wait in your car at that door to pick her up. Doctor, dental, etc. notes are required following all appointments.

After-Prom Donations
The Merici Society needs your help and support for SUA's After-Prom! Please donate gift cards or cash. The gift cards are used as prizes during After-Prom, and cash will be used to purchase gift cards as part of the prizes for After-Prom.
Please send gift cards/cash/checks to the school office (c/o Erin Caldwell) by Thursday, April 25. Please write "AFTER-PROM" on the envelope and include your name so we can track donations. Checks should be made payable to St. Ursula Academy and have "After-Prom Prizes" written in the memo.

Spring Athletics Update
The Crew team traveled to the Belted Galloway Regatta last weekend. The Novice 8+, Varsity 4+, and Pair all placed second, and the Varsity 8+ placed third in their races. The next regatta will be the Mitten Sprints on May 4.
The Lacrosse team lost to Ottawa Hills and Westlake this week. The Arrows will travel to Notre Dame Academy on Wednesday and Northview on Friday.
The Softball team lost to Regina this week and defeated Lutheran North last weekend. Next, the team will compete against Our Lady of Mercy today and Rossford on Thursday, and will travel to play St. Mary’s on Friday.
The Track and Field team will travel to Whitmer on Friday.
