"I go to 8-10 of these every couple of years – and this is the best one by far!"

"You guys have excellent quality guns in your raffle, better than other dinners I went to."

"This venue is amazing – I will be back!"

"Best food I have had at a dinner like this!"

Those were just a few of the many positive comments we received about this year's annual banquet.

It was a great event, a big change of pace in an outdoor setting, a great band in the background, and a major league screen to display what was happening. It was a fantastic night with great people, great raffle and auction items, and lots of new friends being made.

If you like and support hunting and conservation, and passing that on to the next generation, fighting mistruths and false information spread in the capitol and the press, yet more laws, taxes, and restrictions placed on outdoors people – then you were there.

Sacramento Safari Club holds several events yearly, but this is our biggest and most important event. Please enjoy a few memories below:

Consider attending an advanced hunter education webinar or in-person clinic to further develop ethical, conservation-minded and successful hunting practices—taking the hunter a step beyond the basic hunter education course.

The Hunter's Code of Ethics

Recognizing my responsibilities to wildlife, habitat and future generations, I pledge:

  • To conduct myself in the field so as to make a positive contribution to wildlife and ecosystems.
  • To improve my skills as a woodsmen and marksman to ensure humane harvesting of wildlife.
  • To comply with all game laws, the concept of fair chase, and to influence my companions accordingly.
  • To accept my responsibility to provide all possible assistance to game law enforcement officers.
  • To waste no opportunity to teach young people the full meaning of this code of ethics.
  • To reflect in word and behavior only credit upon the fraternity of sportsmen, and to demonstrate abiding respect for the game, habitat and property where I am privileged to hunt.
