SR 13 Sidewalk and Bicycle Study Kicks Off with Survey
The North Florida TPO and St. Johns County have teamed up to study sidewalk and bicycle needs on State Road (SR) 13 between SR 16 and the Julington Creek Bridge, north of Race Track Road.

If you live or travel within the study area – Fruit Cove, Switzerland and other St. Johns communities along SR 13 – please take a few minutes to complete our survey.
Palm Valley Road Study Update
Thanks to the 1,021 people who participated in our Palm Valley Road survey. Your input is critical to identifying ways to improve mobility and safety in the area. The study will be completed this summer.
Public Participation Plan Update
Available for Review
The TPO updated our Public Participation Plan to reflect two changes. First, the Duval County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board is now being managed by the Northeast Florida Regional Council. Second, due to a change in Florida legislation, routine monthly meetings are no longer required to be advertised in daily print newspapers. The TPO will continue to advertise these meetings on our website, e-news and social media. Please review the draft plan and submit comments by April 9, 2023.
Real Talk About EVs
Video Production Underway
The North Florida Clean Fuels Coalition has been interviewing EV drivers and other EV stakeholders for our upcoming Under the Hood: Real Talk about EVs educational video. Thanks to those who joined us at a rainy Caffeine and Octane event February 11 to talk about their EV ownership and driving experiences. EV enthusiast Bill Bortzfield shows off his red mustang above.
Our team went not only under the hood, but also under the car to learn about EV maintenance. Paul Soar, FSCJ Automotive Technology professor, hosted us at FSCJ with dealer Brian Bush and EV tech Philip Pak to discus EV maintenance. We got to check out the new Volkswagen ID.4!

The video will be launched later this spring.
