There are 41 days of school left in the school year, but summer break doesn't mean students can't remain engaged and active with SPS. While there is no school during the summer months, that doesn't mean students can't remain engaged and active.
While SPS-sponsored summer activities aren't available for pre-K students, there are a handful of community summer activities available to students who have not yet entered kindergarten.
Those include swimming at City of Spokane aquatics facilities and Spokane Indians Youth Baseball and Softball. These pre-K summer opportunities are listed on the SPS website along with other summer activities for all ages. Keep this page handy, as additional summer opportunities are added as they are received.
Keeping your soon-to-be kindergarten student active and engaged this summer will help prepare them for kindergarten in September. Summer activities allow kids to meet others, learn how to play as a team or group, and have fun in a structured setting.
Loads of summer activities from SPS and community groups can be found online.
