New Cell Phone Policy and Procedure

to be Implemented This Year

You may have seen news this summer that the SPS Board discussed a new policy and procedure that limits student use of cell phones in Spokane Public Schools.

Based on feedback from students, staff and the community, the School Board is finalizing edits to the policy and procedure, which will vary at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Once approved, this school year, all SPS schools will be cell phone-free during classroom time. The updated policy will be available to families once the SPS board approves new policy language.
